Cusano LXI Habano “Sun Grown”

Hello everyone, today I am reviewing the Cusano Habano LXI “Sun Grown.” I can honestly tell you that I had no intentions of picking up this stick for a review and only came across it when I was gifted it through my friend Matt. Please keep in mind that I am basing this review on one stick. So with that said, I’m now ready to give you my verdict on whether it will passes the mighty “Stew” test or not.

CIGAR MAKE UP:

WRAPPER: Ecuadorian and Dominican

BINDER & FILLER: Dominican / Dominican

Length/Ring: 6  x 54

Shape: Toro Gordo

Strength: Medium

Price: It was gifted but will run you about $7.55

My Observations: This cigar has a tough looking wrapper to it that is surrounded by medium size veins. It’s not a bad looking cigar but it will not receive any awards either.

  • On my finger touch inspection, I found no soft spots or imperfections. I rated it a “B” in the grading department.

Cigar Label: Pretty interesting with its wonderful artwork thats consists of black, gold, yellow, red, and orange colors.

Snip: Straight cut.

Pre-Draw: Smooth with a cedar taste.

Flavors: The 1st third of this cigar consisted of wood, coffee, spice, and small traces of spice. The 2nd third continues with these flavors and noting else. The last third finished as it started and to tell you the truth I was kind of hoping for a change that never came.

Draw: Smooth.

Burn line: Bit jagged.

Liked it: Didn’t hate it but not really interested in seeking out some more!

Recommend it: I would have to say only if you have some money burning a hole in your pocket.

Hint: None

OVER ALL

Until Next Time
