EL TRIUNFADOR #3

Hello everyone, today I am reviewing the El Triunfador # 3 by Pete Johnson and the master roller himself Don Pepin. Now this cigar has been around for almost a year so I’m sure you have seen plenty of reviews on it already. So without further ado, I’m ready to give you my verdict on whether it will pass the mighty “Stew” test or not.

CIGAR MAKE UP:

WRAPPER: Ecuadorian Habano

BINDER & FILLER: Nicaraguan / Nicaragua

Length/Ring: 5 5/8 x 46

Shape: Corona Gorda

Strength: Medium to Full

Price: I paid about $9.00 before taxes.

My Observations: This cigar is medium brown in color, which is surrounded by small non noticeable veins. A true gem to look at in my book!

• On my finger touch inspection, I found no soft spots or imperfections. Over all “A” in the grading department.

Cigar Label: Very different from the original. The label is made up of red, white, and gold colors.

Snip: Straight cut.

Pre-Draw: Very smooth with a cedar taste.

Flavors: The 1st third of this cigar consisted of cedar, nuts, and coffee. The 2nd third continued with these flavors. The last third again continued with these flavors but seem to get a little sweeter towards the end.

Draw: Smooth

Burn line: Mostly even.

Liked it: Yes, but it was a true let down from the original!

Recommend it: Yes, if you like medium body cigars!

Hint: None
