NOSOTROS BY “ILLUSIONE”

Hello everyone, today I am reviewing the newest cigar from the Illusione line called the “Nosotros” by Dion Giolito. This cigar is very different from the other Illusione cigars because Giolito obtained help from Drew Estates to create this brand. I am looking forward to this smoke because I heard a lot of great things about this cigar from Twitter and cigar bloggers across the web. With that said though, I am wondering if it will stand up to the World According To Stew test. With that said and the history behind us, lets find out.

CIGAR MAKEUP

WRAPPER: Nicaraguan Corojo ’99

BINDER / FILLER: Habano / Nicaraguan

Length/Ring: 6 X 52

Shape: Toro

Strength: Medium to Full

Price: I paid $9.55

My Observations: This cigar is quite impressive to look at due to its chocolate oily leaf wrapper that immediately calls your attention to it. On a closer inspection, I found this cigar to have medium size veins that blended well with the makeup of this cigar. Another bonus to this cigar is the triple cap which was placed dead center. Over all it really is a winner in the appearance department. On my finger touch inspection, I found no soft spots or imperfections.

Cigar Label: The cigar label is pretty cool to look at. Nothing fancy but the colors chosen being gray and white just seem to flow together fabulously.

Snip: Straight cut.

Pre-Draw: Perfect which produced a peppery floral taste.

Flavors: The 1st third of this cigar consisted of pepper, cedar wood, charcoal, and a dominate flowery type flavor. The 2nd third continued with the dominate flowery type flavor that was complimented with pepper, and toast. The last third again was dominated by the flowery taste but was later  joined by a rich cinnamon flavor.

Draw: Smooth

Burn line: Jagged and uneven that needed to be re-lit several times.

Liked it: Not at this time.

Recommend it: Maybe with some aging but at this time I would have to say no.

Hint: Age it.

Over All

Until Next Time
