  1. Great review! One day I might try one of these, I am just happy in my mild-medium range 😉

Political – instead of the government taking over health care, they should impose limits for service and cost. There is no reason people should have to pay $1000 a month for health care coverage and STILL have to pay 20%. Also make EVERY company supply coverage for people. No more tiers of medical insurance! Make everything either family coverage, single, or wife&hubby coverage, thats it. no 100 choices of health care so the businesses can save a couple bucks. Oh and this is NO MATTER WHAT THE PEOPLE MAKE, the businesses have to provide the same coverage at the same price for all to afford!

    • Mike – BAD ideas.
      1) Do you have any idea how much your health care idea would cost? Premiums to employers would go through the roof… Your idea would increase premiums, cause emploers to lose money and reduce jobs in an alreadyh tough economy.

      2) Since when did it becomne an employer’s responsability to pay for health insurance for it’s employees?? This is a fringe benefit offered by employers to attract and retain employees – and should be allowed to be offered at the employer’s discretion – not mandated by the Feds. that the employer provide and pay the premiums for.

      3) I’m sorry that people have trouble getting health insurance and somne have troiuble accessing care. We need to work on this problem by targeting the hosptials, doctors and drug companies. How can we make these services more affodable?? Lets focus on them and npt transfer the problem to employers who are providing valuable jobs and really have no stake in the health insurance game (or shouldn’t any way).

      My 2 cents

For fiscal year 2008, Wal-Mart reported a net profit of $13.4 billion compared to $12.73 billion a year earlier.

        http://www.reuters.com/article/businessNews/idUSTRE54H26820090518

Lowe’s net profit fell to $476 million, or 32 cents a share, for the first quarter ended May 1, from $607 million, or 41 cents a share, a year earlier.

        http://articles.latimes.com/2009/may/20/business/fi-retailearns20

Home Depot earned $514 million, or 30 cents a share, for the three months that ended May 3, up from $356 million, or 21 cents, a year ago.

THOSE are companies I was talking about – there is no reason to have millions and BILLIONS of dollars worth of profit and charge a fortune for health coverage or have such low quality coverage that its a joke.

If the government would just set caps for what doctors earn, what hospitals can charge for a room, etc, the premiums would not go up for employers, they might come down!

i do agree the smaller companies would have to receive subsidies to sustain its own value in the market the way it is, but you can not say corporations that are making BILLIONS off the american public could not afford to cover ALL of its own employees with EXCELLENT/LOW COST health care coverage.

  2. Hey,

Not sure if this is the right way to contact you. Don’t see any links to contact info on your blog. Wanted to see if you were interested in partnering for a contest on your blog wherein we (cheaphumidors.com/buylighters.com) would provide prizes.

  3. Where in the constitution does it state that our federal government is to provide health care for us???
    IT DOESN’T!!!!
Do you know what control our federal government will have over us if they pass this? They will start dictating what we will pay for food, drinks because it effects our health. Think about what they will do with tobacco products. Goodbye affordable cigars…
    Think about it….
The government needs to stay out of our daily lives.
